The pieces are designed and created by folk artist Annikki Marttila, who moved to Frederick, South Dakota, from Finland in 1975. She combines the Finnish styles she learned in her youth with her own design variations to create functional works of art.
Rugs, wall hangings, ryijy (traditional Finnish wall hangings), hats and mittens are among the products she makes.
Annikki also accepts special orders, so her works can match the decor of your home.
